Gdansk Gains New Direct Flight Route from Sharjah via Air Arabia in December

    August 26, 2026

SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, creating a new direct link between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline will operate five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. The services are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new route will facilitate direct air travel options for residents of Poland’s Pomeranian region heading to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

Flights on Mondays and Saturdays will see G9 0628 depart from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrive in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reach Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah are scheduled for 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

With this addition, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, following the airline’s scheduled December expansion. Previously, the carrier has been operating flights to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE. Additionally, flights to Katowice will commence on December 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk route begins. Katowice will be served four times weekly, further broadening the airline’s Polish network.

Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland

The new Gdansk route adds a Baltic Sea destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline also operates flights to key European cities such as Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City area including Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, as well as other parts of northern Poland. It offers both domestic and international connections, serving leisure and business travelers throughout the region.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali commented that the Gdansk route would strengthen the airline’s presence in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE, noting that Sharjah is a transfer hub for onward journeys to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. These new flights will enable passengers from Gdansk to connect to Air Arabia’s wider network via the airline’s Sharjah hub.

Scheduled launch of five weekly flights in December

Air Arabia operates a fleet composed of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and has begun accepting reservations for the Gdansk route. The schedule lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 serving the return trips. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will be operated by G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the service will be nonstop both ways.

The route’s debut on December 14 will mark an expansion of Air Arabia’s direct Polish connections shortly before the airline launches its Katowice service. With existing flights to Krakow and Warsaw, the two December additions will bring the airline’s total Polish destinations from Sharjah to four. Gdansk will have five flights weekly, while Katowice will operate four times a week according to the confirmed schedule. Air Arabia maintains that the Gdansk service, with five weekly flights, remains set for December 2026.
