The latest official data from Canada’s national economic indicators confirms that the Canadian economy experienced a growth of 0.3 per cent in May. This marks a continuation of the broader economic recovery, extending into a second straight month and surpassing earlier government projections. Based on monthly Gross Domestic Product data published by Statistics Canada, real output saw increases in 13 of the 20 main industrial sectors, fueled by widespread gains in goods-producing industries and sustained demand within the services sector. This actual monthly growth surpassed the preliminary estimate of 0.1 per cent, published as a flash estimate, giving momentum to the nation’s economic performance after April’s revised growth of 0.6 per cent.
